Where do I park?
We have plenty of parking at the Sewing Factory. Most guests park on the street outside the studio, which is free. On busy days and special events, we can use the parking lots at adjacent businesses.
Do I bring my sewing machine?
No, unless specified. We have a fully outfitted classroom with all the necessary sewing machines and supplies. If you have a favorite sewing tool, you are welcome to bring that. Other suggested items to bring include: water bottle, jacket if the studio is cool, correct foundation garments for fittings and modesty, comfy shoes, fit samples you need reviewed, other items related to your specific class.
How much is a class?
Each class and event is different. Prices are listed in the individual class descriptions.
Is a payment plan available?
If you process your payment through PayPal Pay, you can set up four installments. A studio payment plan for specific studio licensing/training certification programs is available. Note: Class registration is non-refundable but transferrable if you cannot attend your session. It is like purchasing a ticket to a concert or sporting event. Please see our policy page on the website for complete guidelines.
How do I register?
It’s easy! Simply click on the Designer Joi store above and add your class to the shopping cart. If you have any specific class questions, please email the studio at joi@dressformsdesign.com for assistance.
What do I eat for lunch?
We take a lunch break at a good stopping point during class. Many local eateries are near the studio, some within walking distance, including Bob Roes Pizza and Jim’s Burgers (a local and student favorite) right across the street. More info below.
Where do I stay when I come from out of town?
You will need to make your own hotel arrangements. Check out the listings below.
Do I need to rent a car?
If you are flying into SUX, you probably don’t. Most hotels have shuttles, but check with your hotel, as many will shuttle you. Of course, there is UBER. Additionally, many students drive, so you may be able to catch a ride, and we usually start a community chat with the group before group classes.
