This little twig inspired my entire Heritage Collection and Objects of Faith theme. It may look small and simplistic, but it made me think of the unexpected things that fall into our lives on a daily basis, and ones that we often miss because we are not looking for them or are too busy to recognize. As a basic design element, it can be replicated for use in multiple motifs or individual designs. Useful in many craft projects that include natural elements. One of my favorites is to fill a vinyl jar with loose twigs to match the real one displayed on a shelf in my home. You can decorate the jar, add color, apply the template, and fill it with seasonal extras.  JAMES 1:17

Our once-in-a-lifetime trip to Ireland left us with many happy memories of conversations with newly discovered friends & relatives, wonderful experiences, and beautiful photographs of panoramic landscapes and natural wonders. Pictured in this project assortment is a photo of an actual clipping from our very own heritage tree from a small piece of land we own and sponsor in Ireland.

This branch was photographed and converted into an embroidery design I would love to share with you. It is not simply a clipping or a sketch, but a recreation of a real piece of heritage. You can use this design to make your own cards, coasters, quilt squares, pillows, quilts, or framed pressed leaves. The basic design is elegant on its own, but there are many possibilities for you to customize for your individual projects.

Consider adding color to create your own personalized Christmas cards as I have. Stitch a red border, or add a colorful bow, to make something truly unique that you can use from year to year.
