Color Outside the Lines Flower Collection (featured in Threads Magazine and Machine Embroidery 101)

This color-outside-of-the-line flower was featured in a Threads Magazine article about embellishing clothing with embroidery. This pattern can be made into free-standing lace flowers and arranged all over a pattern area like a sleeve or collar. It can be used as an applique to add depth and visual interest to your garments for a unique floral motif or stitched out flat over the entire garment to create your own custom print fabric with the multi-flower collage. Change the color and tone to resemble real flowers. The organic outside of the line fill helps to soften the border for a more natural look, and looks lovely on a doily, table runner, or floral dress. This design is also ideal for accessories, and with a lighter fill and density, a perfect embroidery pattern for light to medium fabrics that require a less dense pattern and minimal stabilizer.
