Perfect for any season and fabric, the Any Season Cardigan features a dropped shoulder and an easy-to-fit full-cut sleeve. Lengthen or shorten to your ideal length, and let it hang open, or add a button-front closure. Contour the side seams to make an hourglass fit, piece different knits together for a designer touch, and upcycle old sweaters for their unique details. Finished cardigans may be beaded, embroidered, or otherwise embellished for interest.
MATERIALS NEEDED
Main fabric: This pattern was designed to feature a variety of sweater knits, but can be sewn in just about any fabric:
Fleece, knits, lace, faux fur, any fabric you desire. The short version can use 2-3 yards of fabric, and the longer cardigan requires 2-4 yards, depending on the fabric width.
Fusible interfacing approx. 1 yard (see chart for amount)
Matching thread
Buttons: View “A” 5 X 3/8” buttons
View “B” 1 X 1” button

For example, adding a zipper may be referenced, but the specific steps for adding a zipper are not included; however, Joi designs her patterns for interactive instruction, and this pattern and workbook are meant to be used with the companion video class for complete step-by-step detailed instruction (hours of videos just for this single pattern) with in-depth details that we are not able to put in the workbook.
