The Marly Knit Top

Featured on the Marly Bird Yarn Thing Podcast, Designer Joi created this easy knit top to complete the beautiful knitted and crochet designs created by Marly Bird in honor of her summer sew along. This knit top has been designed with the sewing beginner in mind and as an easy garment you can make to wear by itself or in combination with a sweater or sweater vest overlay. The pattern uses only three pattern pieces, and only requires 1-2 yards of fabric (see recommended Designer Joi Knits in our online store). The Marly Knit top can be hand sewn, machine sewn or serged (optional) and can be sewn using a quick deconstructed method or complete with finished edges. Select interesting fabrics to complement the knit yarns with an optional sweater overlay. The pattern size fits a 2/4 to a 26/28, with an easy fit style. Of course, you can make the top as loose or snug as you desire. Featured in an episode of the Yarn Thing Podcast August 2020.
